Longquan ware - China

Chinese celadon kilns from the Song to Ming dynasties produced high-quality celadon.

The Longquan ware, located in and around Longquan County, Zhejiang Province, China, was a representative celadon kiln from the Song to Yuan dynasties, primarily producing high-quality celadon.
Production of celadon and black-glazed ceramics began during the Tang dynasty, and full-scale production of celadon began during the Northern Song dynasty.
Its distinctive features include a pale glaze and beautiful decorations.
In the early Ming dynasty, the Longquan ware ceramics highly regarded for their superior craftsmanship, and it became an official kiln producing ceramics for the imperial court.
