総辰砂桃形水滴 – Peach-Shaped Water Dropper

李朝後期に焼かれた水滴。
丸みを帯びた桃型の器形で、余計な装飾はなく、桃の果実の割れ目（縫合線）が再現され、頂部はやや反るように尖ります。
桃は中国の故事である西王母伝説で「長寿」を意味する果実であり、その影響を受け、朝鮮後期にも幸福を求める世相の中で生まれた意匠の一つです。
全体を酸化銅で塗り還元焼成する技法を「総辰砂」といい、鮮やかな赤い色彩を発します。
辰砂の上から透明釉で光沢をつけてあります。
注ぎ口は胴の上部に小ぶりなものが付けられます。
水の注入口は底についており、これは一見、水が溢れるのではないかと思われますが、中が二重構造になっており、水が漏れないようにできております。
桃の形を美しく見せるために外になるべく穴を付けないような作りにしたものと考えられます。
輪高台はとても丁寧で美しく、石の目跡が３ヶ所残ります。
辰砂は高台と注入口の中まで全体に施さるのはとても珍しい例です。
紅色の釉面に細かく入る貫入がはまるで産毛のようで、本物の桃のように見えるとても美しい水滴です。

It is a rounded peach-shaped container with no unnecessary decorations, reproducing the cracks of the peach fruit, and the top is slightly curved and pointed.
The peach is a fruit that means “longevity” in the legend of the Queen Mother of the West, which is a historical fact in China.
A bright red color is emitted by the technique of painting the whole with copper oxide.
A transparent glaze is applied over the cinnabar to create a glossy finish.
A small spout is attached to the top of the body.
The water inlet is on the bottom, and at first glance, it seems that the water will overflow, but the inside has a double structure to prevent water from leaking.
In order to make the shape of the peach look beautiful, it is thought that it was made with as few holes as possible on the outside.
The bottom has a ring shape and is very polite and beautiful, and there are 3 stone marks left.
It is very rare that cinnabar is applied all the way down to the bottom, and it looks like a real peach, making it a very beautiful piece of porcelain.
