古九谷金銀彩皿 – Old Kutani Gold and Silver

古九谷の金銀彩は江戸時代の初期1650〜1670年頃に多く残されました。
色絵と違い余白を残したデザインが多く、建物の風景や動植物、昆虫といった模様が描かれます。
本品は器面に赤絵と銀彩を用いた建物と庭の風景が描かれ、建物の上には金彩の柳が枝垂れます。
右方向には金銀の昆虫が舞い、空には金彩の雲と銀彩の月が浮かびます。
金彩は色褪せず輝きを放つ一方で、酸化しくすんだ銀彩が落ち着いた雰囲気を醸し出します。

Many Ko-Kutani gold and silver were left in the early Edo period, around 1650 to 1670.
Unlike overglaze ware, many of the designs leave white space and feature landscapes of buildings, plants, animals, and insects.
This piece features a building and garden scene painted using red enamel and silver, with gold willow trees hanging above the building.
Gold and silver insects are dancing to the right, and gold clouds and a silver moon float in the sky.
The gold shines brightly without fading, while the oxidized, dull silver creates a calm atmosphere.
