無地志野茶碗 – Shino Ware

志野焼は美濃焼の一種であり、安土桃山時代に美濃窯にて焼かれたとされています。
鉄絵のない釉薬が掛けられただけの志野焼を「無地志野（むじしの）」と呼び、絵志野や鼠志野に比べて遺品が少なく、特に茶碗は数点しかありません。
もぐさ土と思われる鉄分の少ない白土を素地に使い、志野釉とと呼ばれる長石を砕いて生成した反透明の白釉を厚めに掛けられます。
白釉ではありますが釉色はやや赤みを持った卵色です。
釉肌には一部に細かい貫入が入り、ゆず肌となるところには小さな孔があります。
また、口縁や胴の釉薬のかかりが薄い箇所は、赤く発色をし、緋色の火色と呼ばれる景色が現れます。
形は下ぶくれで切り立った形で、高台から腰に掛けては広がった形です。
胴の内側に轆轤跡を残し、口縁に向かってやや窄まるように引き上げられ、手捻りで形に微妙な変化を与えます。
口は上から見るとやや楕円になっており、横から見たら平らでなく、山のように起伏があります。
手で掴んで釉薬を掛けた指あとが薄く２ヶ所、口縁下に残っています。
底部は無釉で高台は丁寧に削り取られております。露胎している部分は高台を中心にうっすらと焦げております。

Shino ware that has only glaze without iron painting is called “Muji Shino”, and compared to E shino and Nezumi Shino, there are few relics, especially only a few tea bowls.
White clay with a low iron content is used as the base, and a thick anti-transparent white glaze called Shino Glaze, which is made by crushing feldspar, is applied.
Although it is a white glaze, the glaze color is a slightly reddish egg color.
The surface of the glaze is partially intrusive, and the surface of the yuzu ware has small pores.
In addition, the areas where the glaze on the rim and body is thin will turn red.
The shape is a bulge, and it is a shape that spreads from the hill to the waist.
A potter’s wheel mark is left on the inside of the body, and the shape is slightly changed by hand twisting.
The rim is slightly elliptical when viewed from above, and when viewed from the side it is not flat and has undulations like mountains.
There are two faint finger marks left under the rim when the glaze was applied by hand.
The bottom is unglazed and the bottom is carefully scraped off. The exposed part is slightly burnt around the bottom.
