蒜とはにんにくなどの意味を持つ感じです。
頸から口にかけて頭の形が蒜に似ていることからそのように呼ばれます。
宮中で使用するための御用達の窯であった、南宋の官窯にて焼造された青磁瓶で深い緑色です。
貫入が大きく入っているのも特徴です。
底部（高台）の設置面は1mmととても薄く作られています。
そしてその際まで綺麗に施釉された美しい青磁瓶です。
