南宋官窯青磁鉢 – Guan ware Celadon Bowl

南宋官窯で焼かれた青磁の鉢。
南宋官窯特有の黒い土はとても均整とれた作陶がされ、口はほぼ正円にできており、直径は177〜178mmの間に収まっています。
鉢には珍しい高めの高台から滑らかに胴に繋がります。
全体に直線的に作られており、高台脇から腰にかけて水平方向に伸びております。この作りは土の重みで沈みやすいため、高い技術が必要です。
腰から急な角度をつけるように上方向に引き上げられ、口縁下ではほぼ垂直になります。
見込みは一段膨らんでいますが、これは前述のとおり、腰がやや沈んだことによるものであるが、この沈みと器体の滑らかな作陶により、手で抱えた時にとても馴染みが良いです。
全体にやや灰色みがかった淡い青磁釉が厚くかけられ、大きめの貫入が入り、所々に二重貫入も見られます。
高台の露胎し窯と設置している部分は0.8mm程度ととても薄く作られており、南宋官窯の技術の高さを伺えます。

A celadon bowl from Southern Song Guan ware.
The black clay peculiar to Guan ware is well-proportioned, and the mouth is almost perfectly circular, with a diameter between 177 and 178 mm.
It smoothly connects to the body from the high bottom, which is rare in bowl.
It is made in a straight line as a whole and extends horizontally from the bottom side to the waist. This process requires a high level of skill because it sinks easily under the weight of the soil.
From the hips, it is pulled up to form a steep angle and becomes almost straight under the rim.
The front face is bulging, but this is due to the fact that the waist is slightly sunken, but this sink and the smooth ceramic body make it very comfortable to hold in your hand.
The entire piece is covered with a thick, slightly greyish pale celadon glaze, with large crackle-glazed crackles and some double crackle-glazed spots.
The bottom kiln and the installed part are made very thin, about 0.8mm, and you can see the high level of Guan ware’s technique.
