汝窯青磁蓮蛙形香立 – Ru ware Incense Stand

愛らしい表情の蛙が蓮を上に持ち上げる形のお香立てです。
蓮の中央の筒に香を立てることができ、筒には下部にある隙間から灰を排出するための機能を備えております。
あまり知られておりませんが、汝窯ではこのような動物形の香立も作られておりました。
汝窯の天青釉と呼ばれる雨上がりの水分を含んだような失透性の薄い水色が全体にかかり、薄い貫入が全体に入ります。
下部には米粒よりも小さな５点の支釘跡残されるのも汝窯の特徴です。
器面のところどころに浮かんでいる水色の斑点も汝窯の特徴として見られるものです。

This incense stand is shaped like a cute frog holding a lotus up.
Incense can be placed in the tube in the center of the lotus, and the tube has a function to expel the ashes from the gap at the bottom.
Although it is not well known, the Ru ware also produced animal-shaped incense stands like this one.
The devitrified light blue color of the Ru ware is similar to that of water after rain, and a light crackle-glazed coating is applied throughout.
Another characteristic of the Ru ware is that there are five supporting nail marks smaller than a grain of rice left at the bottom.
The light blue spots floating here and there on the surface of the pottery are also a characteristic feature of the Ru ware.
