高麗青磁菓子鉢 – Goryeo Celadon Bowl

青磁釉を用いた陶磁器は李朝で作られましたが、大ぶりなものはなく、当品は18cm程度と大きめのため高麗時代末期と考えられます。
高麗青磁は貴族文化として作られ、中期には上品できっちりとした青磁が作られるようになります。
高麗時代中期から後期になると形も均一に、象嵌や刻花といった装飾がされる様になり世界的に評価が高まります。
しかし高麗時代末期なると作り方が大量生産になり、当品のように形が不揃いで釉薬にも色にムラがでてきます。

当品も器形は大きな碗形の鉢ですが、口縁部は斜めに下がるやや不均一な形状です。
釉薬も均一に掛けられず、釉の溜まりや釉薬が流れ落ちた涙跡、焼成時の温度のムラがありますが、面白い景色を生みます。
高台はなく平な底には、砕いた石がびっしりとつけられます。
これは粉青沙器に見られる特徴で、高麗時代末から李朝にかけての作り方ですが、時代が進み李朝の頃には石の数は減少します。
高麗青磁は李朝の初期までは比較的作られますが、やがて粉青沙器や白磁に移ることでその数は減少します。
高麗青磁の終焉を感じることができる希少な品です。

It is a celadon bowl made in Goryeo dynasty.
Ceramics using celadon glaze were made in the Joseon dynasty, but none were large, and this one is large at about 18 cm, so it is thought to date from the late Goryeo dynasty.
Goryeo celadon was produced as a part of aristocratic culture, and in the middle period, elegant and neat celadon was produced.
From the middle to late Goryeo dynasty period, the shapes became more uniform and decorations such as inlays and carved flowers began to be added, and they gained worldwide acclaim.
However, at the end of the Goryeo dynasty period, mass production was required, resulting in uneven shapes and uneven glaze color, as seen in this item.

This item is also a large bowl, but the rim is slightly uneven in shape with a slanted rim.
The glaze is not applied evenly, and there are pools of glaze, tear marks where the glaze has run down, and uneven firing temperatures, but it creates an interesting scenery.
There is no high ground, and the flat bottom is covered with crushed stones.
This is a characteristic of the Buncheong ware, which was made from the end of the Goryeo dynasty to the Joseon dynasty, but as time progressed, the number of stones decreased during the Joseon dynasty.
Goryeo celadon was relatively produced until the beginning of the Joseon dynasty, but its number eventually decreased as Buncheong ware and white porcelain were introduced.
This is a rare item that allows you to feel the end of Goryeo celadon.
