下ぶくれで果菜類の瓜のように筋が垂直方向に入り、その形から瓜棱瓶と呼ばれは宋代から元代によく見られました。
その溝から繋がるように口は花口となり、花びらの先端が細く作られます。
同様に高台も溝が入ります。
上から見た形状は丸みを帯びた菱形に近い形です。
発掘品のため表面は薄黒くなっていますが、綺麗な箇所からは天青色の汝窯の青磁釉が見えます。
この釉は雨上がりの水分を含んだような色「雨過天青」とも例えられます。
下部には米粒よりも小さな５点の支釘跡が残されるのも汝窯の特徴です。
底には「奉華」の銘が入ります。

It has vertical veining like a melon, and was commonly seen from the Song to Yuan dynasties.
Connected to the grooves is a flower-shaped mouth, with thin petals at the tips.
The bottom is also grooved.
When viewed from the top, the shape resembles a rounded diamond.
As it is an excavated item, the surface has darkened, but the Ru kiln’s celadon glaze can be seen in clean areas.
This glaze has been likened to the colour of the moist sky after rain.
There is an inscription on the bottom indicating that it is in the Imperial collection.
