鈞窯特有の「月白釉」と呼ばれる釉薬がかけられ、乳白がかった失透性の淡青色の美しい釉色は北宋汝窯を思わせます。
月白釉は青磁釉の一つとして考えられ、藁灰を主成分とすることで乳白しこの色を出していると考えられます。
丁寧にかけられた釉薬は口縁部が均一に透けます。
丸く膨らんだ胴に２段になった小さな三足、口は大きく開きます。
足の間には支えを置いた針目跡が残り、この特徴は近隣にあった汝窯との関係性を感じます。
やや小ぶりではありますが、とても均整の取れた形で大きさ以上にずっしりとした重みを感じます。
控えめな大きさと上品な釉薬がとても清麗な香炉です。

The beautiful milky-white devitrified pale blue glaze characteristic of Jun kilns is reminiscent of the Ru kilns of the Northern Song Dynasty.
It is thought to be a type of celadon glaze, and is thought to have a milky white color due to its main ingredient being straw ash.
The glaze is carefully applied so that the edges of the mouth are evenly transparent.
It has three small legs with two tiers on its rounded body, and its mouth opens wide.
There are nail marks left between the legs, and this feature seems to be related to the nearby Ru ware.
Although it is somewhat small, it has a very well-proportioned shape and feels heavier than its size.
This is a very clean censer with its modest size and elegant glaze.
