定窯白磁蓮弁文四耳瓶 – Ding ware Bottle

定窯は唐時代から宋時代にあった有名な民窯で、宋代に最も隆盛しました。
宋代に制作された秀麗な刻花や印花などの模様を施した白磁は声価が高く、五大名窯と称えられるほどです。
この瓶は胴の全体に刻花による陰刻で蓮弁文がほどこされ、釉薬の濃淡で表情が付けられます。
梅瓶形で底から外へやや広がるように立ち上がり、丸く肩を張り、口は垂直に立ち上がるとても薄い作りです。
首に輪状の四耳が装飾されており、こちらも薄く、そしてやや中央が膨らむ形状です。
底は碁笥底のように中央が一段凹み、乾いた黄褐色の土が露胎をし、縁はとても均一な太さです。
北宋の初期の定窯白磁らしくやや黄みがかかったクリーム色の上品な釉薬は、時代と共に細かい貫入が現れ、上質な気品を感じる品です。

Ding ware is a unofficial kiln kiln from the Tang Dynasty to the Song Dynasty, and it flourished most during the Song Dynasty.
White porcelain with beautiful carved patterns produced in the Song Dynasty has a high reputation and is praised as one of the five famous kilns.
The body of this bottle is engraved with a lotus petal pattern, and the shade of the glaze expresses the pattern.
The shape rises slightly outward from the bottom, the shoulders are rounded, and the mouth rises vertically, making it very thin.
The neck is decorated with four ring-shaped handles, which are also thin and slightly bulging in the center.
The bottom is slightly concave in the center, exposed with dry yellowish brown soil, and the edges are very evenly thick.
The cream-colored, slightly yellowish glaze, which is typical of Ding ware white porcelain from the early Northern Song dynasty, has a fine crackle-glazed appearance with the passage of time, giving it a refined elegance.
