朝鮮半島でも李氏朝鮮時代になると中国の景徳鎮などの影響を受け、白磁が多く作られるようになります。
この形は底から腰が細く、胴で大きく膨らみ、口にかけてまた細くなる形状です。
提灯壺にも近い形状です。
高台がないのも大変珍しく平な底で、熱によりやや膨らんでいます。
口にも段差はなく肩から滑らかにつながります。
この手のものは大きさが30cm〜42cm程度であるが本品は35cm級で李朝白磁壺の中で一番価値が高いとされ、傷がなく残されているものは多くはございません。
やや黄褐色ぎみの釉薬が全体にかけられるが、釉縮みや色ムラがあるのも李徴の初期の白磁らしいとも言えます。

In Korea, during the Joseon Dynasty, a large amount of white porcelain was produced, influenced by places such as Jingdezhen in China.
This shape has a narrow waist from the bottom, bulges out at the torso, and narrows again at the mouth.
The shape is similar to that of a lantern jar.
It is also very unusual that it does not have a high platform and has a flat bottom, which swells slightly due to the heat.
There is no step at the mouth either, and it connects smoothly from the shoulder.
These types of lanterns are approximately 30cm to 42cm in size, but this one is 35cm in size and is said to be the most valuable of all White Porcelain Jar.
There are not many left in good condition.
The entire piece is covered with a slightly yellowish-brown glaze, but the fact that the glaze has shrunk and is uneven in color can also be said to be typical of Li Zheng’s early white porcelain.
