定窯 白磁獅子鈕蓋水注 – Water Pitcher Lion lid

獅子鈕蓋水注は北宋時代に作られた形で、越州窯青磁や景徳鎮白磁で作られました。
しかし、本品のような定窯の品は大変珍しく、美術館などでもほとんど見ることはできません。
サラサラとした細かな白い胎土をとても薄く形成しており、指で叩くと高い音が鳴ります。
丸く膨らんだ胴には鎬蓮弁が施され、花弁の先はとてもシャープで花びらは中央が膨らむよう立体的な作りです。
肩につけられた注ぎ口は内側に入るようにうねりながら先に向かって細くなり、先端は綺麗に平行に切られています。
取手大きく曲げられた形でひしゃげることもなく綺麗に備えられています。
口につけられたツマミ付きの蓋（鈕蓋）には獅子は愛らしい形で釉薬の色と相まって優しい雰囲気です。
北宋時代の初期のものと考えられ、釉薬は定窯の黄み帯びた釉薬の奥に少し青みを感じます。

The lion-lid water pot was created during the Northern Song Dynasty, and was made from Yue ware celadon and Jingdezhen white porcelain.
However, items made in Ding ware like this one are very rare and can hardly be seen in museums.
It is made of smooth white clay and is very thin, making a high-pitched sound when you tap it with your fingers.
The rounded body is adorned with a lotus petal, the tips of the petals are very sharp, and the center of the petals bulges out in a three-dimensional shape.
The spout attached to the shoulder curves inwards and tapers toward the tip, with the tip cut neatly in parallel.
The handle has a beautiful curved shape.
The lion is an adorable shape on the lid with a knob attached to the mouth, and the color of the glaze creates a gentle atmosphere.
It is thought to be from the early Northern Song Dynasty, and the glaze has a slight blue tint behind the yellowish glaze from the Ding kiln.
